Giggs gearing up for Milan
Ryan Giggs is confident of being fit for Manchester United's Champions League Italian job on Wednesday night.
The Wales winger was forced to nurse his delicate hamstrings on the sidelines as the Red Devils beat Everton in the FA Cup at Goodison Park and manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been determined to protect the 31-year-old with the visit of AC Milan in mind.
Giggs made a brief appearance off the bench against Manchester City last week, drawing sarcastic wolf whistles from the home support when he took the field wearing a pair of tights.
The unconventional clothing appears to have done the trick though, and after being able to play a full part in training this morning he does not have any concern about being able to tackle the new Serie A leaders.
"I felt the injury against Birmingham, so being substitute against City and Everton has given me a chance to mix training with a bit of rest," he told MUTV.
"Training has gone okay. I have a full week behind me now, so hopefully everything will be fine for Wednesday."
